New hotels at Psyrri, one of the most picturesque districts of Athens

By Titi Velopoulou

One of the most picturesque districts of Athens, right next to the most significant sights of the historic center (Acropolis, Plaka, Monastiraki), seems to be escaping its previous bad reputation and to be gaining back the lost space! This privileged location, conveniently located next to metro stations as well as lively squares (Aghias Irinis and others), has attracted the attention of many businessmen who invest in the tourism industry! The A for Athens and the 360 Degrees laid the grounds, two years ago, followed by the first advanced hostel, the City Circus and later the Live in Athens. Lately, we have been discovering new suggestions of alternative accommodation mushrooming in the paved alleys.
